The Brickell Arch Building is consistently recognized as one of the defining structures of Brickell Avenue’s emerging skyline, designed by prestigious architecture firm KPF. Amicon’s history with the tower dates back to its earliest days, having completed over 300,000 SF of class A interior space.
During Hurricane Wilma, while the building was under a TCO, a tornado damaged the entire building façade, resulting in a $40m curtain wall replacement project with extremely complicated logistics in the occupied facility. Amicon’s responsibilities included completing the curtain wall replacement and closing out the project to achieve Certificate of Occupancy.
Amicon managed crews working around the clock (often in over 100-degree heat) to replace over 15,000 curtain wall panels. Over 300 open permits were closed out to achieve a final Certificate of Occupancy. Today, the tower is recognized as one of the most significant architectural jewels of Miami.
